In the fall, the AAUW River Falls chapter hosts a fantastic book sale! All proceeds of the book sale go to grants and scholarships awarded to women pursuing higher education.
Each year, the proceeds from the book sale fund women college students to attend the National Conference for College Women Student Leaders (NCCWSL) hosted by AAUW in Washington D.C. Our AAUW mission is to advance equity for women and girls through advocacy, education, philanthropy, and research. This conference directly provides our recipients opportunities to
- Engage with other students and professionals
- Grow their perspective about college and careers
- Gain more confidence and experience
The book sale is a wonderful opportunity to find books, along with supporting and uplifting the educational efforts of women through scholarships.
The books are donated by the surrounding community.
